Day 1:

Reached Changi Airport Terminal 2 around 7am. Flight was at 8.05am. Brunch on board. Arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport around 12.40pm. By the time we went out of the airport, it was around 2.30pm. The weather at Taipei was COLD!

Went to Taipei 101 Shopping Mall. Was there for an hour but didn't get to go to the top of the building because my dad said he wanted eat first as he was hungry. So when we wanted to buy the tickets, we realised we didn't have enough time then he blamed us for being indecisive on what to eat. -_-"

Then, we went to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Boring. Took a group photo there.

Had dinner at Shihlin Night Market. Tried the smelly tofu. Not to my liking.

Checked in at Evergreen Laurel Hotel (Keelung). From my room I can see Keelung Harbor. Very cool view!

Downed 2 cans of Heineken. Too much beer, that I almost vomitted. Haha. Was feeling a bit drowsy and fell asleep easily.

Day 2:

Breakfast at the hotel with the complimentary hotel breakfast voucher.

Went to YehLiu GeoPark, and viewed the most spectacular and famous results of erosion namely Queen's Head Rock, Fairy Shoe, and Candlestick Rock. The scenery there is very beautiful. Took lots of photo there.

Went to Chuifen (Jiu Fen), filming site of "City of Sadness". Scenery there is also very beautiful. Had lunch there.

Went to Nantien Temple, a landmark of Nafanau, which is also the center for traditional religion of local citizen.

The tour guide gave me a set of limited edition postcards because I answered a question correctly. Haha.

Dinner at a restaurant. 7 dishes + 1 soup + 1 plate of fruits. Damn full.

Proceeded to Hualien: A-Mei Aboriginal Cultural Village to soak in their culture. Bought a bracelet there and my dad bought a Laughing Buddha.

Checked in at another hotel for the night. Downed a can of Heineken before falling asleep within 5 minutes.

Day 3:

Breakfast at the hotel with the complimentary hotel breakfast voucher.

Went to Taroko Gorge, one of the natural wonders of the world. Took lots and lots of photo there. Bought postcards.

I can't remember what we did or where we went in the afternoon. Oh. Maybe we went to this shop and bought lingzhi. Lunch at I-forgot-where.

Went to Taitung for Hon Yeh Hot Spring. Nice scenery also. I preferred staying in the cold spring though. Haha.

Checked in at Master Bear Resort.

Dinner there too. After dinner we went to the entertainment area where some people sang and some people shoot basketball on the shooting machine.

We played Bingo, drank beer, wrote wishes on the lantern (tian deng), let the lantern fly high up into the sky, watched the fireworks which the tour guide let off, went for some "basketball" match where I got the lowest score among everyone. -_-"

Then it was bed-time.

Day 4:

Breakfast at Master Bear Resort.

Proceeded to KaoHsiung where the weather was exactly like Singapore.

Lunch at Mei Non Hakka Village. 7 dishes + 1 soup. Full like dunno what AGAIN.

Visited Fo Kuang Shan Monastery, the Buddhist center of Taiwan, where hundreds of glided Buddha images stand in line, one of the wondrous attraction of the monastery

Went to Spring & Autumn Pavilions where we saw the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas and Xuan Tian Shangdi Temple.

Dinner at Japanese BBQ Steamboat Buffet.

Checked in at another hotel. Downed a can of Heineken and fell asleep.

Day 5:

Breakfast at the hotel with the complimentary hotel breakfast voucher.

Headed to Sun Moon Lake. Super nice scenery. Took photos with the tour guide and the tour leader.

Went to Wen Wu Temple and another side of Sun Moon Lake.

Lunch at I-forgot-where. 7 dishes + 1 soup + 1 plate of fruits.

Went to a shop where my dad bought Royal Jelly for me to eat. The tour leader introduced it to me and said it would help in my complexion.

Went to the Peacock Garden. I saw the golden chicken Da Chang Jin carried. And to think I thought it didn't exist. Haha.

The tour guide brought us to see some "bin lang xi shi". Haha. And I tried on a betel nut (bin lang). Not to my liking.

Visited Lu Fong Earthquake Museum, which was the remains of a school preserved, to commemorate the infamous 921 Earthquake of significance.

Dinner at this restaurant the tour guide recommended.

Shopped at Feng Jia Night Market. Didn't buy anything.

Checked in at another hotel. Downed a can of Heineken and fell asleep.

Day 6:

Breakfast at the hotel with the complimentary hotel breakfast voucher.

Went to eat Ding Tai Feng famous "Xiao Long Bao".

Went to Martyr's Shrine where we witnessed the elaborate and graceful changing of guards' ceremony. There was this guard who was tearing while on duty and I got it filmed down when a guy helped him to wipe away the tears. My dad said maybe it was because the wind was too cold.

Went to Daxi Blooming Oasis. Boring. But some flowers were pretty though.

Went to National Palace Museum. Boring.

Went to Miramar Entertainment Park where we went on the Asia's second largest Ferris Wheel. The wind was super big and cold up there and we could see Taipei 101 from the ferris wheel.

Went to this shop that is famous for its pineapple tarts. Because we were damn hungry, we ate the samples until we were almost full. Haha.

Dinner at Tie Mu Zhen Mongolian BBQ Steamboat Buffet. Not nice.

Went to Xi Men Ding where I bought a bag. Ate some more. Haha. Saw a very cute dog.

Checked in at another hotel. No beer today because I didn't need to sleep early.

Day 7:

Breakfast at the hotel with the complimentary hotel breakfast voucher.

Headed to Taipei Songshan Airport for departure.

Took photo with the tour guide and the tour leader.

Ate some more at the airport.

Air turbulence was very bad. The aeroplane was going up and down and up and down like sitting on the see-saw. I was even swinging together up and down. Haha.

Reached Singapore at 6.05pm.

Home Sweet Home.
